Organizational Context
This work was produced within my broader role leading brand and marketing for Kiemle Hagood, a commercial real estate firm spanning four offices, more than 160 employees, approximately 30 brokers, and more than 650 active listings.
My responsibilities include company-wide brand stewardship, internal creative leadership, executive and broker partnership, external agency direction, digital strategy, campaign development, marketing operations, and management of a large annual budget.
Project Overview
The Market Review & Outlook became one of Kiemle Hagood’s defining thought-leadership initiatives: a biannual publication translating brokerage activity, economic indicators, vacancy and absorption data, development pipelines, market interviews, and regional forecasting into a resource clients could understand and use.
What began as a dense commercial real estate report evolved into a repeatable editorial platform and, ultimately, the foundation for the firm’s inaugural Market Pulse event.
Across five published editions from 2024 through early 2026, I led the visual and editorial transformation of the research from source material through final publication. The work extended into data visualization, mapping, photography, digital distribution, presentation design, event branding, environmental graphics, campaign rollout, and live audience communication.

The Challenge
Commercial real estate reports are often technically valuable but difficult to digest. Information is organized around the structure of the data rather than the questions the audience is trying to answer.
Kiemle Hagood had extensive market expertise across brokerage teams and regional offices. The challenge was turning that knowledge into a publication that could:
- Establish authority without becoming inaccessible.
- Organize multiple markets and property types coherently.
- Preserve technical accuracy.
- Create a recognizable editorial series.
- Support clients, investors, developers, municipalities, and media.
- Produce useful material for digital campaigns, presentations, and live events.
The Editorial Strategy
The publication was approached as an editorial narrative rather than a repository of charts.
Each edition begins by determining:
- What changed in the market.
- Which changes matter most.
- Where the markets diverge.
- What the audience is likely to misunderstand.
- Which data requires visual explanation.
- What brokers and market experts believe will happen next.
That hierarchy guides the table of contents, long-form narrative, charts, maps, callouts, image pacing, and executive summary.
The objective is analytical rigor with enough editorial clarity that the publication can be read rather than merely referenced.
